The Asian Heritage Society of Manitoba is hosting a free Japanese Cooking Demonstration in celebration of Asian Heritage Month. Led by Chef Sadao Ono with commentary by Junko Bailey, this immersive culinary experience will guide participants through the creation of various Japanese dishes. From comforting miso soup and refreshing sunomono (cucumber salad) to flavorful curries and the art of sushi-making, attendees will explore a delicious array of Japanese cuisine. Space is limited to 35 spots, so register now to reserve your spot! The event will be held on Sunday, May 5th, 2024 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the Japanese Cultural Association of Manitoba (180 McPhillips Street). The Society acknowledges the kind support of the Community Fund of the Japanese Canadian Legacies Society.
